All issues related to visas for students from abroad coming to Russia for studying will be settled in the nearest future, Minister of Education and Science of the Russian Federation Olga Vasilyeva promised during her presentation at St. Petersburg International Educational Forum, according to RIA Novosti. It concerns educational institutions with creative specializations as well. Minister advised that, for example, Russian Academy of Theatre, Music and Ballet Arts is extremely popular abroad.

Vasilyeva has also reminded that currently the Ministry is implementing a large project Export of Education.

It is worth mentioning that Russian Ministry of Education and Science has worked out an amendment to the legislation allowing students to skip the second application process for a Russian visa. Now they can study at a Russian university with the visa they had once received before entering the higher educational institution. Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs has approved of this draft law.
