Museum-educational complex Russian Expat Community is going to be opened in Moscow. This is the first similar project in Russia devoted to the first wave of Russian emigration. Presentation of the center took place as a part of Moscow Cultural Forum, according to TASS. The center will encompass permanent and temporary exhibitions, a lecture room, a concert hall and an underground storage facility.

The museum-educational center will open its doors in November 2018. The construction works are to be completed in the closest future.

“This would be a unique museum-educational platform, dedicated to cultural heritage of our compatriots abroad. The main exposition presents history of Russian emigration to different cities of Europe and Asia and contribution of Russian Expat Community into world culture and architecture,” Russian Expat Community House specialist Natalia Gritsenko related.

The founders of the center hope that future visitors will contemplate the exposition and will deeply sympathize the emigrants of the first wave bearing in mind many new facts.
