Saint Petersburg is one of the best tourist destinations of the world. This rating is based on the feedback from TripAdvisor users, IA Interfax reports. Overall, the rating list comprises twenty-five cities where the Northern capital is the only Russian city. Saint Petersburg took the 14th place. Among other best destinations are Bali, London, Paris, Rome, New York, Crete and Barcelona.

The City-on-the-Neva-River has a lot to show to its guests: the Church of the Spilled Blood, the Hermitage Museum, and Grand Palace in Peterhof. Besides, there are about three thousands of ways for tourists to spend time in Saint Petersburg. In the analogous rating of Europe, Saint Petersburg occupies the 8th place, whereas the Russian capital city wraps up the list.

Tourists and Russian citizens adore visiting Saint Petersburg in spring. The city in bloom is associated with romantic adventures and a place where any wishes may come true. It is worth reminding that The Guardian advises the British to visit Saint Petersburg by all means. According to experts, a hundred’s anniversary of The Great October Revolution is a perfect occasion to spend it at the City-on-the-Neva-River. Special tourist routes are prepared for this date.
