1500 historical artefacts on view in the Museum of Contemporary History of Russia

RF Ministry of Culture Ex-Revolution Museum located at the Revolution Square in Moscow Center introduces Revolution Code. 1917 exhibition. The opening coincides with 100-years anniversary of the museum. RF Minister of Culture Vladimir Medinsky has made a wish that our future history will not give the reason to create another museum dedicated to a revolution topic.

Five halls of the exhibition tell about this controversial period of Russian-Soviet history.

There are 1500 artefacts that witnessed drastic changes happened 100 years ago. Spectators will discover the Cruiser "Aurora" porthole, notes written by the Bolshevik Party leader Vladimir Lenin, an authentic telephone that belonged to Bolsheviks’ headquarters and many other historical pieces and documents.

Apart of this, riveting documentary chronicles of 1917, a fragment of Lenin’s speech “What is the Soviet power?” and filmed memories of Russian Revolution participants will definitely grab attention of the visitors.

The exhibition will run until November, 12.
