Russian scientist is in charge of a team from European Nuclear Research Center

The scientific worker of the High Energy Physics Laboratory in Saint-Petersburg University Igor Altsybeyev is appointed to coordinate the work of a new scientific group from the European Nuclear Research Center (ENRC), TASS reports.

University press service has informed that the candidate of Physical Mathematical sciences Igor Altsybeyev manages the Event-by-event Physics Analysis Group which is to analyze data received as a result of ALICE conducted on the Large Hadron Collider (A Large Ion Collider Experiment).

Igor Altsybeyev thanked his colleagues for their trust and remarked that such an appointment is acknowledgement of his personal and university achievements.

His job description includes organization of the group workflows, holding meetings, preparation of reports and data publications. He will also represent the scientific group at the collaboration sessions of experts from ENRC.

At present, around 10 thousand scientists from all over the world are working at the Large Hadron Collider, and Russian team of physicists is among them.
