Putin signs decree about handing out Russian State Awards to foreign nationals

Photo: The Presidential Administration of RussiaRussian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree allowing to hand out Russian Federation National Awards to politicians of several countries, RIA Novosti reports.

In particular, Head of the Upper House of Kazakh Parliament Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was favored with the Order of Honor for personal contribution to development of relations between two countries. Moreover, First Secretary of Security Council Marat Shaykhutdinov was bestowed the Order of Friendship.

The same award was presented to Mayor of the Slovenia Capital Zoran Janković and Minister of Labour Dr. Anja Kopač Mrak. The Order of friendship remarked their distinguishing service in reinforcing collaboration between Russia and Slovenia and huge contribution to perpetuating the memory of the fallen Russian and Soviet Warriors who perished at the territory of the republic during the World Wars.

It should be reminded that 100 years of Russian Chapel located at the Vršič Pass (that often is symbol of Russian – Slovenian Friendship) was celebrated in July, 2016. Russian and Slovenia Presidents took part in the celebrations. Inauguration of the monument to Russian and Soviet Warriors fallen at the Slovenia land in Ljubljana was one of the central events. The representatives of Russkiy Mir Foundation participated in this jubilee as well.

Besides, Putin awarded the representatives of Japanese Business Community with the Order of Friendship. Among them were the Board of directors’ chairman of Mitsui Company Iidzimu Masami and honored advisor of JGC company Yoshihiro Shigehisa.

As per Russkiy Mir Foundation, during his visit to Tajikistan last week Vladimir Putin handed out the Order of Alexander Nevsky to Emomali Rahmon and Order of Friendship to Tajikistan Foreign Minister. Russian President expressed his gratitude to his colleague for strengthening of Russia – Tajikistan relations.
