Russian Culture Festival was a success in Dublin

Traditional 8th Festival of Russian Culture completed in Dublin, as Russian Ireland website informs. It lasted for a week. Classical music concert opened the festival. Young Russian compatriots and Irish musicians just starting their career performed for the audience. Musical compositions by Pyotr Tchaikovsky, Alexander Skriabin, Sergei Rachmaninoff and other Russian composers were included into the agenda.

Creative bands from Moscow and Saint Petersburg performed in the National Show Center Swords at the weekend. Traditional Maslenitsa (Pancake Week) show programme pleased the audience.

Russian Ambassador to Ireland Maxim Peshkov, Fingal Mayor Dara Battler and other officials attended the Pancake Week show. Organizers counted around 2 thousand guests; the majority of them were Russian expats. Some of them brought their families to the fair.

Visitors were astonished to find a wide choice of pancakes with different fillings as well as Russian souvenirs on sale. Everybody agreed the holiday programme was a great success.
