A Revolutionary Impulse: The Rise of the Russian Avant-Garde exhibition in Museum of Modern Art, New York covers the period of artistic expression between 1912 and 1935.

The exposition encompasses 250 breakthrough projects in painting, drawing, sculpture, prints, book and graphic design, film, photography, and architecture by leading Russian avant-garde figures, such as Alexandra Exter, Natalia Goncharova, El Lissitzky, Kazimir Malevich, Vladimir Mayakovsky, Lyubov Popova, Alexandr Rodchenko, and others. It’s worth mentioning that only major works from MoMA’s astonishing collection are involved in the art exhibit.

“It is the museum’s first show to trace the progress of one art movement, assembled by drawing equally from all departments,” writes in her panegyric to the exhibition Roberta Smith from The New York Times.

Those in New York have to hurry since there are less than two weeks left until the closing of this fascinating exhibit.
