The grand concert hall gathered great Russian-British musicians: violinists Natalya Lomeiko and Yulia Zjislina, pianist Olga Balakeets, Russian choirs of London and Brighton, Russian Souvenir Ensemble, and others. Vocal ensemble Quatro played popular Russian song Smuglianka (Brunette) and several Russian romances in the memory of deceased Alexandrov ensemble members. Their performance took the audience to heart.

Apart from Russians living London the event was attended by many locals who love Russian culture, noted with satisfaction the Festival director Olga Balakleets. She also mentioned that an interest in Russian Maslenitsa festival grows from year to year, especially among the British.

One of the most popular events in UK, The Butter Week project was held with organizational and informational support from the London City Hall, RF Ministry of Culture, the Russkiy Mir Foundation and some other institutions.
