WINZAVOD Centre for Contemporary Art invites all photography lovers to see the exhibition Best of Russia. This exhibition is a result of the annual national photo contest, that was founded by WINZAVOD in 2008 with the support of Russia’s Ministry of Culture. Today, the visitors can enjoy 365 shots of everyday life in Russia, 2016.

The project aims to show the life in our country in unique and offbeat photos. Through the camera lens one can see various points of view on life in Russia.

Not only professionals but also amateur photographers participate in this project. There were hundred thousands shots sent from all regions, making this 365 photos choice quite a challenging experience for the judges. Images are divided in five basic topics: "People. Events. Everyday Life", "Nature", "Architecture", "Think about Happiness", and "Style".

According to the Minister of Culture, Vladimir Medinsky, photographers might be called "chronicle of country". He reminded that in the early days photography best artists were accepted to the Academy of Arts, so they could learn all the special skills.

Today photography is one of the most accesible arts anyone can do. But the skill and talent to catch the right moment, the right mood is though to still be an art.
