The Pushkin State Museum prepared an exhibition dedicated to the 21st century perception of the great poet’s personality and his creative heritage. The project was named #pushkinXXI.

In the world of today, everybody knows the name of Alexander Pushkin, but few people are familiar with his works. However, he is still one of the most popular personalities in the minds of people.

The exhibition represents a vast cut-off of modern arts and mass culture, and displayed items reflecting diverse spheres of present-day life. The audience will see how Pushkin phenomena is mirrored in different art genres: paintings, music, theatre and literature. Besides, it will be interesting for spectators to learn his impact on science, household items and lifestyle. The items are presented both in reality and in virtual space.

There are more than a hundred exhibition participants; among them are large museums, famous theatres, cinema studios and TV companies of our country as well as noncommercial organizations, modern artists, sculptors, writers, composers and private collectors, businessmen and scientists.
