Lomonosov Moscow State University published RCSED catalogue containing data about 800 universes, as TASS reports. Russian astronomers worked in tandem with their French colleagues.

This is a unique catalogue since it has no analogues in the world. Information about stars, their brightness and many other details may be found in the edition. In particular, the analysis of emission line forms, conducted by specialists of two countries, is the most detailed and precise at present.

The work of data alignment is going on. Scientists plan to broaden the catalogue in future. Now astronomers choose the direction of further activities: either to add a number of new universes or to accomplish data of the existing objects. It is known that soon up to 400 universes from Hectospec archives will be added to the catalogue.

Russian Foundation of Basic Research and National Center for Scientific Research awarded funding for the catalogue development.
