Foreign volunteers supporting FIFA Confederations Cup and World Cup in Russia will have an opportunity to learn Russian. A specialized online training is going to be launched from tomorrow on. It was worked out by specialists from Pushkin State Russian Language Institute.

Alexander Sorokin, Director General of the Organizing Committee “Russia 2018” commented that around 177 thousand requests for participation in the championships were registered and a third of them is submitted by foreigners. All volunteers are very eager to help organize the event, however not all of them speak Russian fluently.

Online courses are called to remove this disadvantage. The training developers hope that students will improve understanding of the Russian language to the extent that would allow them working during such events in future.
