Jumpman by Ivan Tverdovsky won at the Rotterdam Film Market

The new project of director Ivan Tverdovsky received the main prize at the international film festival Film Market, which was held in the Dutch city of Rotterdam.

 

Project Jumpman so far is in the preparatory stages, in addition to the main prize, the Sinemart projects market received 20,000 Euros. The main character of this film is a young person with unique abilities. The film will be shot together with participation of France and Germany, reports RIA Novosti.

 

According to the producer, Natalia Mokritsky, this award can be considered a solid guarantee that the movie will be supported by the major European film funds. "We are pleased that our project about contemporary Russian life problems has attracted considerable interest in Europe" she said. The producer also said that soon Jumpman will be presented at the Berlin Film Festival.

 

A reminder: Tverdovsky’s latest work, Zoology, won the Grand Prix of film festivals at Cottbus, Germany. In addition, the title of best actress was received by Natalia Pavlenkova who starred in Zoology. Earlier, the film was awarded a special jury prize at the festival in Karlovy Vary. This film is in the running for many other awards.

 

As reported by Russkiy Mir in 2015, the debut of the prominent director, the film Class Corrections, received the Grand Prix at the Karlovy Vary Film Festival and two prizes in Thessaloniki, as well as at the Festival of East European Cinema in Cottbus.
