Moscow hosts 10th Russian World Assembly

On 3 November, on the eve of Unity Day, the jubilee 10th Russian World Assembly is held in Moscow.

800 delegates representing tens of countries have arrived in Russia’s capital city to discuss urgent matters of the Russian World during round-table and panel sessions.

Panel discussions on such topics as The Russian World in the Global Mosaic of Civilizations, The Russian Language: its richness, diversity and Russian as means to unite people, and round-table sessions dedicated to the discussion of the Russia’s image abroad, issues dealing with historical memory of generations, peculiarities of mass media operating in Russian abroad, creation of a Russian language textbook and traditions of Russian cinematography are supposed to be discussed by their participants.

Famous politicians, public persons, heads of ministries and government agencies, representatives of Russian compatriots living abroad, teacher od Russian schools, university professors, authors of textbooks, scientists, writers, diplomats, representatives of the clergy, culture experts and journalists are among the participants of the event.

It is the first time the Assembly has followed Peace Generation International Youth Forum , that started its work on 2 November.

The Forum deals with summarizing of the Peace Generation program results and awarding the winners of such contests as «It is for us to decide!» and the 2nd Co-Creation international contest of young journalists. The forum program also includes various discussions, lectures and master-classes.
