The founders of the 9th Autumn in Balaklava conference are the All-Ukrainian Russian School non-government organization, the Russkiy Mir Foundation, the International Pedagogical Club and a Sevastopol student union named Parallel 45.

The conference is aimed at the exchange of experience in the field of teaching Russian and providing optimal conditions for getting education in the Russian language, establishment of contacts between scientists, teachers, university professors, and culture workers of Russia, Ukraine, post-Soviet and far-abroad countries.

Over 100 representatives of educational institutions of Ukraine, Sevastopol, Moscow and Crimea, including professors and students take part in it.

The conference is arranged in Sevastopol as it has a rich experience in the sphere of teaching the Russian language. The participants of the conference show their great interest to the history of Sevastopol as a lot of famous writers wrote their works there. The guests of the hero-town find “the exposure to the environment in which Sevastopol residents live” extremely important.

Besides the plenary meetings, the conference program includes intellectual trainings, motor boat sea tours of Balaklava places connected with the name of a famous Russian writer A. Kuprin, walking tours of the town and a visit to Chersonesos.

Following the results of the forum, a conference information package is supposed to be published.
