Vienna hosts conference “Relations between Austria and Russia. Past, Present, Future”

A conference “Relations between Austria and Russia. Past, Present, Future” was held under the auspices of the Embassy of the RF in Austria at Kaiser Villa in Vienna on May 25. The conference had been initiated by the Russkiy Mir Foundation and the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Vienna and the Austrian-Russian Friendship Society as its partners.

Russian and Austrian political scientists, historians and representatives of non-governmental and governmental organizations were supposed to discuss the prospects for the development of relations in the spheres of politics, culture, trade and economics between the two countries.

The conference is focused on the using of long bilateral contacts positive experience in present relations between Russia and Austria as well as on the demonstrating the improvement of relationships between Russia and EU countries taking into account a challenging geopolitical situation they experience.
