Vyacheslav Nikonov BRICS: Expert Dimension 25.05.2020"The BRICS group was conceived as virtual reality. As something discussed by economists and international politics experts. Although the countries have been interacting with one another for centuries. And the real basis of their multilateral interaction was already there in the shape of the famous Russia-India-China triangle brought into circulation by Evgeny Primakov. The transformation of BRICS into an influential international format went through several stages, and at each stage the role of experts was paramount."

“Generation of the World” Campaign Unites Young People from Russia, China and Vietnam
“We start our brain-ring with the sound of the watch bell”, they were the words with which a team game Literary Sea battle started at the G.I. Nevelskoi Maritime State University on April 29. The event had already become a traditional one and that time its topic was “The Generation of the World: Russian literature for children and youth”. Using video communication, the cadets of the Maritime State University along with students of the faculty of the Russian language at the Dalian Maritime University (China) and customers of the Russian Center at the Teacher Training University of Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam) learning Russian took part in the knowledge competition dealing with books written by Russian children’s writers.
According to the rules, the team that has demonstrated the best knowledge of writings by Russian children’s and youth writers and poets wins the game. The teams are supposed to demonstrate their understanding of ethic matters and ideals the writers teach their readers, too. The lists of the writers’ names and the texts are sorted out beforehand and the teams get them in order to prepare for the competition. The game itself looks like a typical Sea Battle game but its participants hitting a goal are to answer a question dealing with a certain book.
All those who took part in the competition appreciated a warm atmosphere of the event that was held using a famous quotation of a Vladivostok writer Vitaly Korzhikov that goes like that: “Children should be told very interesting and very good things so that they could take them and keep them in their lives. As for bad things, they will face plenty of them in their future lives. They should be brought up in such a way that they would have moral values. I think that a children’s writer should be a good person aiming at emphasizing on good things in the first place. He is not supposed to complete a task but to write something good for children. Then the author will be able to write good and useful books”. .
The Far East Branch of the Russkiy Mir Foundation was the partner of the event for the second time encouraging both Russian and foreign students to learn more about Russian literature. This year prizes decorated with the symbols of the Foundation will be sent to Teacher Training University of Ho Chi Minh City and the prize winners from PRC. Besides, the best players of the sides will get their special prizes, too. As Alexander Zubritsky, the association's director and head of the Far East Branch of the Russkiy Mir Foundation said, “The event is going to become one of the first projects devoted to the international campaign named “The Generation of the World”. This year makes us understand what the word peace means, what we should do to prevent wars and how to bring up a younger generation”.
Vietnamese cadets of the G.I. Nevelskoi Maritime State University read some poems dealing with maritime topic greeting the participants of the competition and they performed them in perfect Russian. Sergey Nelubin, head of the radio programs department of the VGTRK Company and a famous poet in the Far East, was a special guest at the event and a jury member. He welcomed the participants of the brain-ring saying that he was ready to take part in the next Literary Sea battle scheduled for the fall of 2016.
