International Chamber Theater Festival Held in Moldova

14.12.2015

The 7th chamber theater festival Moldfest.Rampa.Ru has concluded in Moldova. The festival was co-sponsored by Russia’s Embassy to Moldova, the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Chisinau and the Russkiy Mir Foundation.

The festival’s program included almost 20 stage productions of different genres from 12 countries, with an international jury. Chamber theater troupes performed at the Republic Youth Drama Theater and on other platforms in Chisinau. Acting and directing master classes were also held.

Troupes consisting of no more than 15 actors could take part in the event. “I think the most important thing in chamber theater is a chance to look closely into the eyes of another person, an actor. To listen to their testimony, get into their shoes, become a different person for a little while. Because both children and adults want to play games,” German theater expert Nina Mazur said with regard to the festival.
