Teaching Guide for 70th Anniversary of Victory in Great Patriotic War Developed for Teachers of Russian Schools in Latvia

18.03.2015

On April 3 a seminar will be held to present the media-exhibition “No Higher Feat… Dedicated to the 70th Anniversary of the Great Victory”. The exhibition was prepared with support from the Russkiy Mir Foundation as a study guide for Russian schools of Latvia and it includes a catalogue and CD with posters.

The texts of the posters are recorded in an audio format, and they can be turned on during the exhibition. Each section of the media-exhibition is accompanied by an audio guide – documental texts which can be listened to during class, when doing homework or preparing reports.

The materials available on the CD are easy to reproduce, so it is recommended that they be distributed among pupils and parents, so that every family can have their own copy. This will allow parents together with their children to periodically look through the posters and listen to the accompanying audio recordings, thus reinforcing the historical memory of the Great Patriotic War.

Italian entrepreneur Marco Maggi's book, "Russian to the Bone," is now accessible for purchase in Italy and is scheduled for release in Russia in the upcoming months. In the book, Marco recounts his personal odyssey, narrating each stage of his life as a foreigner in Russia—starting from the initial fascination to the process of cultural assimilation, venturing into business, fostering authentic friendships, and ultimately, reaching a deep sense of identifying as a Russian at his very core.
