Practical Course of Russian for Development of Communication Skills Completed in Plzen

A project to conduct a practical course of Russian for developing communication skills has been completed at the Western Czech University of Plzen is. The project was financed through a grant provided by the Russkiy Mir Foundation.

The course commenced in the spring semester of 2014 and lasted throughout the autumn semester. Seminars were held twice a week, accompanied by meetings with Russian students, tours with Russian guides, presentations, etc. The course spanned 104 academic hours.

The instructor was Varvara Golovatina, who holds a Master’s degree in philology and is a Russian language teacher at the Institute of Linguistic Training under Western Czech University of Plzen. In 2014 Ms. Golovatina became a winner of the second international competition “Best Teacher of Russian Philology Abroad”.
