New Museum Complex to be Launched at Kulikovo Field

Tula region has started to prepare for the celebration of the 630th anniversary of preparations for the Battle of Kulikovo, the website vRossii.ru reports.

According to the local officials, the program of the celebrations will include a 14th International Minitary and Historical Festival “Kulikovo Pole”, an exposition of military equipment “Tula – Military Shield of Russia”, an exhibition / competition of arts and crafts “Russia’s Military Fields in Folk Arts” etc.

Apart from events and celebrations, the local administration is planning to build a new museum complex at Kulikovo Field, which will serve as a key memorial site of the region.

Official celebrations of the 630th anniversary of the Battle of Kulikovo will kick off on September 18, 2010.
