Parade of Planets to Be Held in Osh

01.02.2011

The Russian Center in Osh, Kyrgyzstan, is preparing to hold the Parade of Planets festival together with schoolchildren and university students in the southern region of the republic.

The festival will mark the concluding phase of the center’s participation in the First in Space campaign launched by the Russkiy Mir Foundation.

Among other things, the program includes the organization of film lectures and exhibitions dedicated to Yuri Gagarin at the branch of Russian State University and schools throughout the city.

The Russian Center will also be organizing an Olympiad to test schoolchildren’s knowledge about Russia’s achievements in space. Young artists will also compete to produce the best drawing dedicated to the anniversary of Gagarin’s feat.
