First in Space in Ho Chi Minh City

The Russian Center at Ho Chi Minh City University of Pedagogy is planning to participate in the international creative competition First in Space as well as other events planned by the Russkiy Mir Foundation in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the first manned spaceflight.

April 5-12, the Russian Center will hold a special weeklong program on the theme First in Space. It will include the showing of documentary films of the history of the Russian space program, a cycle of lectures on the life and accomplishments of Yuri Gagarin, various competitions for students in HCMC, lessons on the theme “Man and Space” and a photography exhibit titled “Yuri Gagarin – The First Cosmonaut in the World”.
