Polish Students Enjoy White Nights of St. Petersburg

The Russian Language and Culture Center of Krakow Pedagogical University has once again organized a two-week summer trip of students and teachers to St. Petersburg. Their program included a Russian language course at St. Petersburg State University as well as an intensive cultural excursion schedule. 

Each day, despite the abnormally hot weather, the students attended classes with international groups at the university. They were excited to have the opportunity to speak in Russian not only with their teachers and university instructors but also with Russian youth.

The program coincided with one of the most interesting times of the year in St. Petersburg – the White Nights, which allowed them to spend a lot of time viewing the enjoying the rich cultural heritage of the city.

At the conclusion of the program, deputy director of the Russian Language and Culture Center Boris Kovalenko presented the students with certificates, thanking them for their diligent studies, and the director of the center Evgeny Yurkov invited all of the students to return again to the university and unique city of St. Petersburg.
