Italian entrepreneur Marco Maggi's book, "Russian to the Bone," is now accessible for purchase in Italy and is scheduled for release in Russia in the upcoming months. In the book, Marco recounts his personal odyssey, narrating each stage of his life as a foreigner in Russia—starting from the initial fascination to the process of cultural assimilation, venturing into business, fostering authentic friendships, and ultimately, reaching a deep sense of identifying as a Russian at his very core. On July 15, the Russian Center at the Donetsk Regional Library held a meeting on the death of the Romanov family (on July 17, 1918, the imperial family was executed). The films “Nikolai II: A Disrupted Triumph” and “The Russian House in Paris” were shown. Also on display were exhibitions of books, periodic publications and photoarchives.
Participants of the meeting included Donetsk writer and poets, journalists, teachers, students and artists as well as visitors of the library interested in this topic.
At the end of the film session, there was a moment of silence in honor of the royal family.
