"Memory of the Heart" in Greece

The "Memory of the Heart" activities, conducted by the Russian Center of Thessaloniki, were attended by schoolchildren from Northern Greece. On April 29, the head of the Russian Center, N. Suponitskaya, visited one of the largest private schools in Northern Greece – the "Protipa Ekpedevtiriya”. In her speech to the schoolchildren on the topic called "St. George’s Ribbon. Connecting Generations". She talked about the history of the Russian army, noting that the St. George’s Ribbon confirmed the traditional colors of the Russian military valor, which were continued during the Great Patriotic War.” Fifth-grade schoolchildren read their essays on the topic: "My ancestors in the Great Patriotic War". All participants were given St. George's Ribbons.
