Wartime Photography Exhibition Opens in Thessaloniki

As part of the European BIENNALE photography project and the Thessaloniki Documentary Film Festival, the Russian Center in Thessaloniki initiated and organized a photography exhibition in honor of victory in WWII.   

Famous pictures by Soviet wartime reporters were put on display at the State Military Museum. The Russian General Consulate in Thessaloniki is overseeing the project, with active involvement from the State Photography Museum of Northern Greece, the Historical Archive Access Society, the Russian-Greek Friendship Society and the Association of the European Idea’s Friends. The opening was attended by the consuls of Germany, Austria, Latvia and a number of well-known figures from Greek society and Russian compatriots.
