The winners of the “Russian Prize,” which is awarded to both prose writers and poets who write in Russian and live abroad, are Boris Khazanov from Germany, Bakhyt Kenzheev from Canada and Margaret Meklina from the United States.

In total, 471 works from 32 countries were submitted to the contest. The awards ceremony received financial support from the Russkiy Mir Foundation.

This year marked the fourth year for the “Russian Prize.” The award was established in 2005 by the Institute of Eurasian Studies and the Caucasian Institute for Peace, Democracy and Development.
