Russkiy Mir Gives out Pushkin Awards in Tallinn

The Russkiy Mir Foundation and Pushkin Institute of Tallinn have given out Pushkin awards to teachers of the Russian language. The event was conducted for the third time under the auspices of the Russian Embassy in Tallinn, the foundation's own correspondent reports from the capital of Estonia.

Nickolai Churilin, a teacher and methodology expert from Tallinn, became the winner in the nomination “Teacher of Russian as a native language”. Viktor Ivanov, a teacher and methodology expert from Tartumaa, got the award in the nomination “Teacher of Russian as a foreign language”. A winner in the new nomination “The Russian language as a lifework” was Antidea Metsa, professor of Tartu University and author of a broad range of Russian textbooks.
