Russkiy Mir Foundation to Open Over 30 Russian Centers in 2010

February 19 the Board of Trustees of the Russkiy Mir Foundation gathered to summarize the 2009 results and to discuss patterns of further development. The meeting was chaired by Liudmila Verbitskaya.

Among other participants of the discussion were Director of the Itar-Tass news agency Vitaly Ignatenko, President of the Pushkin State Institute of Russian Language, Deputy Secretary General of the International Association of Teachers of Russian Language and Literature Evgeny Yurkov, and new members of the Head of Rossotrudnichestvo Farit Mukhametshin, President of the Russian Railways Vladimir Yakunin etc.

According to Executive Director of Russkiy Mir, the foundation is planning to open over 30 Russian Centers all over the world. Up to date RM has launched 47 Russian Centers. Opening of the next one in Kiev is currently underway.
