January 28 will mark the opening of 42nd Cairo International Book Fair. Representative of the Russkiy Mir Foundation will attend the fair to present the National stand of the Russian Federation and to participate in a number of events in the context of the all-Russia program entitled Russia – Honorable Guest.
Among the scheduled events is a presentation of documentaries about Russia and its main cities – Moscow and St. Petersburg; presentation of education games Russian Crosswords and Russian Lotto developed under the initiative of the Russkiy Mir Foundation.
Visitors of the National stand will be offered Russian language lessons based on educational programs funded by Russkiy Mir.
Director of Regional Programs Division of the Russkiy Mir Foundation Georgy Toloraya and Head of Department of Educational Projects Irina Stepanova will conduct a roundtable discussion entitled Russkiy Mir in Egypt and will brief the audience on the foundation’s activities.
Georgy Toloraya and Irina Stepanova will also present books to a soon-to-be-opened Hurghada-based Russian language center (a Russian Room) – a project of the Russkiy Mir Foundation.
