Baltic Countries Say No to Russian Science and Culture Centers

10.04.2013

All three Baltic countries have ignored Russia’s wish to open Russian centers of science and culture on their territories, Konstantin Kosachev said during the Government Hour in the Russian State Duma, Voice of Russia reports.

Konstantin Kosachev is the head of the Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States, Compatriots Living Abroad and International Humanitarian Cooperation, also known as Rossotrudnichestvo.

Answering the question of a correspondent of The Voice of Russia, he stressed that none of the three Baltic countries have Russian scientific or cultural centers. Konstantin Kosachev believes that this refusal is an obvious violation of Russian-speaking people’s rights.
