07.03.2013

The Russian Embassy in Belgrade is ready to help Serbian MPs wishing to learn Russian, stated Russian Ambassador Alexander Chepurin on Monday, Voice of Russia reports. He reminded that the Serbian parliament already had a number of those who speak Russian quite fluently.

All in all, the "friends of Russia" group includes 53 deputies, rendering it the largest of its kind in the Serbian legislature. The second-largest group "friends of USA" has 49 deputies.

Chepurin discussed with MPs possibility of deepening economic, energy and military cooperation between the two countries. Serbian parliament Speaker Nebojsa Stefanovic confirmed that a closer interaction with Russian partners would promote more effective and mutually advantageous decision-making.
