U.S. Vice President to Visit Moscow in March – White House

17.02.2011

U.S. Vice President Joe Biden will make an official visit to Russia in the second week of March, the White House said in a statement on Wednesday, RIA Novosti reports. Biden will visit Finland, Russia and Moldova on a one-week trip beginning on March 7, the statement said.

Biden plans to discuss U.S.-Russian relations with a particular accent on future bilateral growth. The White House said the vice president will discuss a wide range of bilateral and regional issues with leaders from each of the three countries.

A Kremlin source earlier said Biden's visit is a run-up to an official visit to Moscow by U.S. President Barack Obama. The exact dates of Biden's visit to Moscow, as well as Obama's visit, were not immediately available.
