22.07.2010

The Russian authorities have launched a website dedicated to the objectives and achievements of the country's modernization process, a major domestic initiative of Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, RIA Novosti reports.

The ModernRussia.com site will detail the activities of Russian authorities, public organizations and businesses that aim to promote modernization. The website was created in cooperation with international PR agency Ketchum.

The project organizers hope public discussions on the site will help the Russian government to overcome obstacles standing in the way of development and boost modernization.

The government has also opened an account on the micro-blogging site Twitter, dedicated to the same issues.
