Russkiy Mir Delegation Lays Wreath at Grave of the Unknown Soldier at the Kremlin

On the morning of May 5, together the Kremlin Honor Guard, a delegation from the Russkiy Mir Foundation laid a wreath at Grave of the Unknown Soldier at the Kremlin wall. The delegation was led by Executive Director of the Foundation Vyacheslav Nikonov and also included winners of the competition component of the campaign “Russkiy Mir – Memory of the Heart”.

The wreath-laying ceremony was part of the concluding activities of the international “Russkiy Mir – Memory of the Heart”, organized in cooperation with the Russian Peace Foundation and Photocenter.

Later in the day Photocenter hosted a program celebrating the conclusion of the campaign, which included an awards ceremony and photography exhibition of wartime pictures.

“Russkiy Mir – Memory of the Heart” was organized by the Russkiy Mir Foundation with the aim of preserving memories of the Great Patriotic War and celebrating the 65th anniversary of victory. A major focus of the campaign was a competition in which applicants submitted their literary, creative and research work dedicated to the Great Patriotic War.
