"Victory Train" Leaves Kiev for Moscow

On Thursday, the "Victory Train" with a Ukrainian delegation of war veterans left Kiev heading for Moscow, Voice of Russia reports. The Ukrainian veterans are travelling to Moscow for the Victory Day parade. Representatives of the Russian embassy in Kiev said that the delegation of Ukrainian veterans, which is made up of 14 people is the biggest. In Moscow preparations are in place for their arrival.

The Veterans will be fully provided for, with adequate food, medical care and protection. The train will arrive in Moscow on May 7. Once in Russia, the Ukrainian veterans will lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and take part in the Victory Day Parade in Moscow. President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych instructed the authorities to ensure the proper participation of Ukrainian veterans in the Belarusian-Ukrainian-Russian project: "Train of Victory".
