Israel to Erect Memorial to Fallen Soviet Soldiers

The Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu has given the go-ahead to the erection of a memorial to Soviet soldiers who fell in action when fighting Nazis in the Second World War, Voice of Russia reports.

Dozens of monuments to the Great Patriotic War soldiers have been built all about Israel, but this one, to be erected in the Mediterranean city of Netanya in the year of the 65th Victory Day, will be granted the status of a national memorial.
