Russian and Brazilian Presidents Discuss Cooperation

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev and visiting Brazilian counterpart Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva are having negotiations in the Kremlin on Friday, ITAR-TASS reports.

The negotiations began in an eye-to-eye format with the delegations of the countries joining in. The presidents of Russia and Brazil shook hands and hugged each other.

High on the agenda of the Russian-Brazilian summit are the prospects for economic cooperation, particularly in high technologies, the energy sector and the aircraft building industry.

Upon the summit results the countries will sign several bilateral documents, including a plan to develop strategic partnership between Russia and Brazil.
