Russia to Safeguard Historical Truth about Second World War

14.04.2010

Russia will safeguard the historical truth about the Second World War to perpetuate the results of the war and their role in global development, the Voice of Russia reports. A statement to that effect was made by the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Saltanov at an international conference on the Allied Victory in 1945 and its importance to Russia and Israel. Russia, Saltanov said, will fight neo-Nazism, aggressive nationalism, anti-Semitism and xenophobia. The Israeli Ambassador in Moscow Anna Azari emphasized that Israel will play an active role in celebrating the 65th VE anniversary.
