Russia Must Remember Its Defenders – Medvedev

05.05.2010

The combat feat of each and every soldier who defended their Fatherland against fascism must be remembered, Voice of Russia reports.

President Dmitry Medvedev made this statement on Tuesday as he bestowed the City of Military Glory title on five more cities at a ceremony in the Kremlin. The five are Volokolamsk, Bryansk, Nalchik, Vyborg and Kalach-on-Don.

“It’s our duty to remember the feat of arms of each and every defender of our homeland – all those who fought on the battlefront, bringing the Victory closer,” the president said.
