Vienna to Host the Fourth Russian Ball

February 19 Vienna will host the 4th Russian Ball, reports Rosbalt news agency. This year the event traditionally conducted in the glittering surroundings of Hofburg Palace is entitled “Russian Ball in Vienna – Already a Tradition”.

The event will be attended by the leading Russian musicians, dancers and singers from St. Petersburg, and also by diplomats, businessmen, politicians, cosmonauts etc.

The first Russian Ball was organized by the ART PROJECTS company together with the Mariinsky Theatre on January 12, 2007. Its program included performances by the Bolshoi Theatre soloist Anastasia Goriacheva, by the Military Orchestra of the Moscow Garrison and a star violinist Maxim Fedotov. This debut event secured a 6th position in a rating comprising over 300 balls conducted annually in Vienna during the Ball Season.

Among participants of the previus Russian Balls in Vienna are Vladimir Atlantov, Maxim Vengerov, Valery Gergiev, Yekaterina Semenchuk etc.
