International student Russian-Bulgarian conference "History and Construction of Modernity: the Slavic Context"

On November 11-12, 2021, the Faculty of History of Moscow State University and the Faculty of History of St. Kliment Ohridsky Sofia University are holding the 1st International Student Russian-Bulgarian Online Conference "History and Construction of Modernity: Slavic Context", organized within the framework of a bilateral project.

Young historians from Moscow and Sofia invite their colleagues to discuss the following questions:

- the problem of nationalism and national identity in the Balkans, Central Europe and the post-Soviet space;
- the Balkan world and Russia in wars and conflicts;
- cultural dialogue and preservation of historical heritage;
- political transformation of the Balkan Peninsula;
- the role of the ideological factor in the history of Russia, the countries of Central and South-Eastern Europe and its influence on the development of foreign policy;
- history of Russian-Bulgarian relations.
The conference will be held Zoom. Working languages: Russian, Bulgarian, English.

Following the results of the conference, it is planned to publish articles by its participants. The deadline for submission of manuscripts is until December 1, 2021. The rules for the preparation of manuscripts will be sent to the participants in a newsletter.
