Compatriots hold children's drawing contest dedicated to Antarctica

2020 has been declared the Year of Antarctica in Russia - in honor of the 200th anniversary of the discovery of Antarctica by Russian mariners under the command of Thaddeus Bellingshausen and Mikhail Lazarev.

As part of the Year of Antarctica, compatriots from Cameroon and South Korea are holding an international online competition for children's drawings. The Russkiy Mir Foundation is the information sponsor of the competition.


Competition entries are accepted until September 1, 2020 (inclusive) in jpg format on the official page of the competition on Facebook or by e-mail: inforuce@mail.ru.

The results of the competition will be announced on November 1, 2020. All participants will receive commemorative certificates. The winners of the competition will receive honorary diplomas and valuable prizes from sponsors.

Drawings will be evaluated according to the following criteria: compliance with the theme of the competition, originality of the concept, artistic expressiveness, skill in the use of artistic materials, creative independence in disclosing the topic.
