Preparations for vaccination of teenagers aged 12-17 years have begun in the regions of the country, Rossiyskaya Gazeta writes.

According to the authorities of St. Petersburg, the vaccine will appear in the city in the next few days. Clinic doctors are calling parents and invite them to sign up for a vaccination. The same is happening in Moscow. In Nizhny Novgorod and the region, vaccination venues for adolescents have already been equipped and teams of doctors have been organized.

In the Orenburg region, lists of children are also compiled to clarify the number of doses of the drug needed for vaccination.

A coronavirus vaccine for teenagers was registered in Russia a month ago. Earlier, Academician Alexander Gintsburg, who heads the Gamaleya Center, said that the Sputnik V drug was diluted with saline five times for teenagers and ten times - for younger children. According to him, these doses of the Russian drug will be effective and safe for children.

The Ministry of Health assured that adolescents will be vaccinated only voluntarily with the consent of their parents or legal representatives.
