More than 16 million Russians are actively participating in the volunteer movement, said Sergei Kiriyenko, First Deputy Head of the Presidential Executive Office, TASS reports. He noted that every year new areas of volunteering emerge.

Several thousand volunteers took part in the ''We are together" forum, which ended the day before, on December 5, in Moscow. More than 100,000 people have joined projects aimed at preserving cultural heritage. During the pandemic, the work of medical volunteers is essential. The development of the movement of ecological volunteers is also of great importance.

The forum lasted four days. The members of the search teams shared their work experience and discussed plans for the future.
