The World Youth Forum of Russian Compatriots turned out to be very productive. For four days, activists from 25 countries discussed the most pressing issues of the movement of compatriots.

The forum began on September, 17 in Sofia. The Bulgarian capital has hosted it for the 6th time. The Russkiy Mir Foundation helped to organize the forum.

This largest international event is aimed at uniting young people from Russia. About 130 people aged 18 to 40 years took part in it.

The program included a meeting on the preservation of historical memory. During the round table discussion, they discussed the attempts to falsify history and the opposition to Russophobia in Europe. Another important topic was the protection of the rights of compatriots.

Young people and specialists in thematic sections discussed the problems of strengthening ties in the economic sphere, promoting the Russian language, national culture and Russian higher education abroad. They also touched upon the importance of the Russian-language media in the dissemination of historical truth and objective information about Russia.
