Russian representative reminds UN Security Council about human rights’ abuse in USA, EC and Ukraine

pixabay.comRussia paid attention of the United Nations Security Council to the abuse of human rights in the European countries and US. It was the subject of presentation made by Kristina Sukacheva representing our country at the UN Human Rights Security Council, TASS reports.

She has stressed that there is total impunity of torture practices, kidnapping of other countries’ citizens, abuse of authority by law enforcement agencies being biased towards representatives of other races in US. Russian representative has emphasized that all the above said does not allow Washington to become a mentor and give mandates to other countries.

Sukacheva has also pointed out that American authorities do not respect international rights while using armed forces abroad too. In particular, around five thousand civilians died as a result of attacks of international coalition headed by US. Mass media freedoms are in the wrong situation too.

She has also mentioned that some countries copy the worst experience of their Western patrons and mentors. “Ukraine widely uses torturing following the American example. There is reduction of national communities, meetings and riots of extreme right forces, ideological dissidence and freedom of mass media are prosecuted, broadcasts in Russian are ceased under pressure”, Sukacheva said.
