20.09.2017

Famous politician, chairman of the State Duma Committee on Education and Science Vyacheslav Nikonov commented US intention to allocate budget for lethal arms to Ukraine, press-service of the State Duma Committee on Education and Science informs.

As per Russkiy Mir Foundation, Ukrainian president Petro Poroshenko has claimed that the draft law approved by US Senate about defense budget supposes allocation of 500 million US dollars to Ukraine. According to him, this allows provision to Kiev defensive lethal arms.

“Words are cheap… Poroshenko made a lot of statements where he mistook the wish for the reality. I can assume that somebody promised 500 million to him”, Russian Newspaper quotes Nikonov.

“The truth is this is not the sum enough to change strategic military situation in Donbass. But such expenditures of US would be an unfriendly gesture towards Russia and would complicate the situation of regulating and fulfilling Minsk agreements,” the politician summed up.
